Identify the physical limitations contributing to pain, swing inefficiencies, and performance plateaus through a comprehensive golf-specific movement and swing assessment.

Comprehensive TPI Evaluation - $350

  • Injury & health history

  • Golf-specific movement assessment

  • Swing analysis

  • Personalized corrective exercise program

  • App-based exercise tracking

  • Coordination with your golf coach

  • Understanding the Body-Swing Connection

The Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) is the world's leading educational organization focused on how the body influences the golf swing.

One of the most important concepts taught by TPI is that there is no single "perfect" golf swing. Every golfer has unique mobility, stability, strength, and movement capabilities. The most efficient swing for one golfer may not be the most efficient swing for another.

    Physical limitations can contribute to:

    • Back, neck, shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, or knee pain

    • Loss of distance

    • Inconsistent ball striking

    • Difficulty making swing changes

    • Recurring swing faults

    • Reduced longevity in the game

A TPI evaluation helps determine whether movement limitations may be contributing to these issues and provides a roadmap to improve them.

  • Many golfers spend countless hours working on swing mechanics when the underlying issue may be physical.

    For example:

    • Limited hip mobility can affect rotation.

    • Poor thoracic spine mobility can impact backswing position.

    • Limited shoulder mobility can change swing mechanics.

    • Stability deficits can reduce power and consistency.

Rather than guessing, we evaluate how your body moves and identify the specific limitations that may be influencing your swing.

  • Step 1: Health & Injury History

    We'll discuss:

    • Current pain or injuries

    • Previous injuries or surgeries

    • Golfing goals

    • Practice and playing habits

    • Areas of frustration in your game

    Step 2: Movement Assessment

    A comprehensive golf-specific screen evaluates:

    • Mobility

    • Stability

    • Balance

    • Coordination

    • Strength

    • Rotational capabilities

    Step 3: Swing Assessment

Your golf swing will be reviewed to identify movement patterns and determine whether physical limitations may be contributing to swing characteristics or pain.

    Step 4: Personalized Action Plan

    You'll receive:

    • A detailed explanation of findings

    • Prioritized areas for improvement

    • A customized exercise program delivered through a mobile app

    • Recommendations for additional care, training, or coaching when appropriate

  • Working Together for Better Results

Golf performance is rarely improved by one professional working in isolation.

With your permission, I can collaborate directly with your:

    • Golf coach

    • Teaching professional

    • Strength coach

    • Personal trainer

    • Physical therapist

    • Medical providers

Sharing assessment findings helps ensure everyone is working toward the same goals.

If you do not currently have a golf coach, I can also connect you with trusted golf professionals in the Kalamazoo area who understand the value of the Body-Swing Connection and can help you implement swing changes effectively.
